Rapper Lil Wayne is reportedly engaged after keeping his relationship largely out of public view.

Several entertainment outlets reported Tuesday that the Grammy-winning artist quietly proposed earlier this year. The woman has not been publicly identified. Reports described her as being from Indiana and in her 20s.

Neither Wayne nor his representatives publicly confirmed the engagement by Tuesday afternoon.

The rapper, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has long kept parts of his personal life private despite decades in the spotlight. News of the reported engagement quickly spread online, sparking renewed interest in his dating history and family life.

Wayne, 43, remains one of hip-hop’s most influential figures. He rose to fame in the late 1990s with Cash Money Records before becoming a dominant force in rap during the 2000s. His albums, including “Tha Carter III” and “Tha Carter IV,” helped shape a generation of Southern hip-hop artists.

A Private Relationship Comes to Light

The reported engagement surprised many fans because Wayne had not publicly discussed a serious relationship in recent months.

His most recent high-profile romance involved model Denise Bidot. Their on-and-off relationship made headlines in 2025 after Bidot accused the rapper of ending their relationship on Mother’s Day. She also alleged emotional and physical abuse in social media posts. Wayne did not publicly respond to those allegations.

“Breaking up with someone on Mothers [sic] Day is diabolical,” Bidot wrote at the time. “Prayers up though. God always pulls me through. Walking with faith.”

Before Bidot, Wayne had several public relationships, including romances with singer Christina Milian, rapper Trina and model La’Tecia Thomas. He was previously engaged to Thomas before their split in 2020.

Wayne was also briefly married to television personality Toya Johnson. The former couple shares daughter Reginae Carter. He also has three sons from previous relationships.

Fans Await Confirmation

Social media reaction to the engagement reports ranged from surprise to celebration. Some fans praised Wayne for maintaining privacy in an era dominated by constant celebrity exposure.

Others questioned whether the rapper would address the rumors directly. Wayne has historically avoided discussing his romantic relationships in depth during interviews.

The rapper recently remained active professionally following the release cycle surrounding “Tha Carter VI” and continued touring appearances.
