Megan Thee Stallion is always making big moves.
Without question, the Houston native has the drive to be successful.
“I’m a very driven person. Once I have a goal, I don’t stop until I finish it and then I’m thinking about what I want to do next,” she tells PEOPLE. “I always like outdoing myself. It puts a fire under my ass to do better.”
For her latest venture, Megan is dropping her brand-new fragrance “Hot Girl Summer.” She spoke with PEOPLE about how she was always into smelling good.
As a teenager, Megan said that she would “shower” herself in Bath & Body Works lotion and body spray.
“If you was a mini hottie, you loved the Japanese Cherry Blossom scent,” she says. Since then, she’s gained a reputation for smelling good.
“One thing that is going to be consistent [about her everyday fragrance], it’s going to smell like Megan,” the artist, whose real name is Megan Pete, says. “All of my friends… I feel like they know when I’m near because they know what I smell like.”
Named after Megan Thee Stallion’s iconic tagline, “Hot Girl Summer” is a collaboration with Coty available exclusively at Ulta Beauty. True to its name, this sexy floral fragrance opens with a rich coconut milk accord, layered over a heart of orchid and a base of vetiver—a note Megan points out pairs perfectly with her favorite skincare staple, shea butter.
“I don’t like to smell too sweet; sometimes I don’t like to smell too floral. I feel like my perfume is a good mix of something that feels sexy and warm.” Wearing this, Megan promises, will make you “feel like a hottie, sexy and at ease.”
According to Megan, the fragrance will make you feel like ou “can command a room.”
“Before [arriving], people can smell you, and they remember how you smelled when you walk away,” Megan said. “I love the feeling of somebody telling me, ‘Oh my gosh, you smell so good,’ or, ‘What are you wearing?’ When somebody tells you you smell good, you automatically get a little confidence boost for the day.”
