50 Cent is pulling back the curtain on his role as a producer for Netflix’s hit docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning. The “Many Men” rapper reveals just how deeply he dug into Diddy’s inner circle while preparing the project.

In his latest Us Weekly cover story, 50 shared that he spoke directly with Cassie Ventura, whose 2023 lawsuit ignited the wave of allegations that ultimately crumbled Diddy’s empire.

“I think she’s going to understand it,” 50 said when asked how Cassie might feel about the documentary. “It was important that I talked to her to understand how things transpired.”

50 Cent also confirmed he communicated separately with Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine.

“When you hear things multiple times from different people, it rings true,” he added.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team attempted to shut the project down. They filed a cease-and-desist and calling the four-part series a “shameful hit piece.” Netflix later rejected the claims. The doc amassed over 21.8 million views in its opening week, according to Deadline.

Cassie’s lawsuit accused Diddy of rape, physical abuse, and years of control. While it was quickly settled within 48 hours, it opened the floodgates for many alleged abuse victims to come forward.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning highlights Cassie’s decade-long entanglement with the Bad Boy label founder. The doc showcase a pattern of manipulation and the disturbing “freak-offs” she was allegedly forced to participate in.

In his recent interview ABC News, 50 Cent said Cassie was a young woman swept into Diddy’s chaotic world.

“She came in at 18 or 19. After a while, you’re conditioned for it,” he explained. “If I didn’t say anything, people would think hip-hop is fine with his behavior.”

Cassie ultimately left Diddy in 2018, later marrying Alex Fine in 2019. The couple now shares three children.
