Ciara, 39 is embracing her stretch marks with her latest empowering message about body positivity.

“I am a mom of my precious four babies and they have blessed me with these stretch marks,” the mother of four said in the sponsored video post. “Why am I going to cover up when I can show off?”

Ciara added in the caption of her post, “We all have moments when we don’t feel great about our skin—I’m no different. I’ve been seeing SO many conversations lately feeling like we have to cover up or hide… What holds you back from showing your skin?”

In a social media landscape that often pushes unrealistic beauty standards, the “Level Up” artist is opting for vulnerability over perfection.

Ciara shares 11-year-old Future Zahir with ex-partner Future, and three children with husband Russell Wilson — Sienna Princess, 8, Win Harrison, 5, and 19-month-old Amora Princess.

She’s been embracing what society deems “imperfections” for a while. She titled her independent label, Beauty Marks, as well as her 2019 album, which focuses on self-love.

“It holds a great significance to me, my life and my journey,” she told iHeartRadio at the time. “The idea embracing your beauty marks; your scars as your beauty marks.

In the interview, she mentioned gaining nearly 60 pounds during her first two pregnancies. This is when Ciara felt inspired to redefine her stretch marks, that she got while carrying Future and Sienna, to be “beauty marks.”

“So, Beauty Marks holds great significance to me and my life,” she added. “I’m excited to bring people on the journey with me and hopefully people can take on the attitude of things they feel are their scars—or the not-so-perfect things—are actually beautiful things, and finding your beauty in those moments in your journey.”
