Chris Paul has added another title under his belt; a graduate from HBCU Winston-Salem State University.
Last Friday, the NBA star returned to his hometown in North Carolina to attend the graduation ceremony at the University. Paul began his college career in 2003 at Wake Forest University but left after two years to play in the NBA.
Paul revealed that his parents went to his now alma mater and knew it was right for him to attend as well. “I grew up in the backyard of all the HBCUs. So, it was natural for me.”
Aside from graduating with his degree, the 37-year-old also gave $2,500 to each graduate. Paul has also donated $50,000 to the university’s fundraising efforts for student-athletes in 2019.
Congratulations to Chris Paul!
