Several former members of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ staff have reportedly found a new professional home with Usher.
At least three people who previously worked closely with Combs joined Usher’s team, according to Rolling Stone. The group includes Combs’ former chief of staff, Kristina Khorram. A former personal assistant and a videographer who worked for Combs also reportedly joined Usher’s camp.
The employees have been connected to Usher’s massive R&B Tour with Chris Brown. The co-headlining trek includes dozens of dates across multiple cities. Khorram’s exact position within Usher’s operation has not been publicly confirmed. However, she reportedly has some involvement with the tour.
A representative for Usher declined to comment to Rolling Stone about the reported hires.
Khorram spent more than a decade working with Combs
Khorram had a lengthy professional relationship with Combs before his September 2024 arrest. She worked at Combs Enterprises for more than a decade and eventually became his chief of staff in 2020.
Her name later surfaced during the federal investigation and prosecution of the Bad Boy Records founder. Federal prosecutors identified Khorram as an alleged co-conspirator during their case against Combs. However, Khorram was never criminally charged.
She was also never called to testify during Combs’ federal trial. Khorram previously denied allegations that she participated in or enabled sexual misconduct.
“The idea that I could be accused of playing a role in — or even being a bystander to — the rape of anyone is beyond upsetting, disturbing, and unthinkable,” Khorram said.
“That is not who I am and my heart goes out to all victims of sexual assault. I am confident that the allegations against me will be proven to be untrue.”
The other former Combs employee reportedly hired was a personal assistant who worked for him from 2021 until 2024. That employee received immunity before testifying during Combs’ criminal trial. While on the witness stand, the former assistant described several duties performed while working for the music executive.
Those responsibilities included preparing hotel rooms for sexual encounters and keeping track of a bag containing drugs. Rolling Stone reports Usher has since parted ways with the former assistant.
A videographer who previously worked with Combs also reportedly found employment with Usher. The videographer had been working on a documentary about Combs before his arrest. Some footage later appeared in the Netflix docuseries “Sean Combs: The Reckoning.”
Usher and Combs share decades of history
The staffing connection comes as Usher’s relationship with Combs continues receiving attention. Their history stretches back to Usher’s teenage years and the beginning of his music career.
Combs helped mentor the young singer after music executive L.A. Reid connected the two. Usher previously described spending time around Combs during what became known as “Flavor Camp.” Their professional relationship continued as both men became major figures within R&B and hip-hop.
Usher also performed during the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour in 2016. Earlier this year, Usher discussed Combs’ legacy during an interview with Forbes.
“Legacy,” Usher said when asked what came to mind when hearing Combs’ name.
“In many ways, I think certain people are prosecuted and maybe not recognized for the greatness that they offer,” he continued. “I don’t have anything negative to say about Sean Combs because my experience was not what the world has seen and how he’s been misrepresented.”
Usher also acknowledged that his personal experiences do not mean Combs was without flaws.
“I’m not saying that every man is perfect,” he said. “I’m not saying that all of us don’t have flaws.”
Usher said he still recognizes Combs’ influence on Black entrepreneurship and the entertainment industry.
“So many people benefitted from what he created and I acknowledge that,” he said.
Combs was acquitted of federal racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges in 2025. He was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
The reported hires now connect their professional worlds again, although the circumstances behind the staffing moves remain unclear.
