Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been ordered to pay nearly $1 million in back child support after a Nevada court ruled he is the legal father of a 4-year-old girl born to a former employee at one of his Las Vegas strip clubs.

Court records reviewed by several media outlets show the ruling stemmed from a paternity case filed in 2023 by Paige Moorehead, a former dancer who claimed she had an on-and-off relationship with Mayweather for nearly eight years.

The court declared Mayweather the child’s legal father earlier this year after the undefeated boxer failed to comply with a court-ordered DNA test, according to reports citing legal filings.

The judge ordered Mayweather to pay $933,050 in retroactive child support. He also must make monthly payments of $32,850 going forward.

Mayweather has not publicly commented on the ruling.

The 49-year-old boxing icon retired with a perfect 50-0 professional record and remains one of the sport’s wealthiest figures. He continues to participate in exhibition bouts and business ventures around the world.

Moorehead filed the paternity lawsuit in June 2023. In the complaint, she alleged the relationship ended after she became pregnant in 2021. She also claimed she previously worked at Girl Collection, a Las Vegas strip club associated with Mayweather.

According to court filings cited by entertainment and sports outlets, Mayweather was served legal papers on two separate occasions. The filings state he did not appear for a DNA test ordered by the court.

As a result, the judge issued a default judgment establishing paternity.

“The court finds that Floyd Mayweather, Jr., is the father,” the ruling stated, according to documents first obtained by TMZ Sports.

Reports also said the court approved a lien of up to $2 million against one of Mayweather’s properties to help secure future payments.

Financial Scrutiny Returns

The child support order arrives during a period of renewed scrutiny surrounding Mayweather’s finances and legal matters.

Recent reports linked the former champion to a separate civil dispute involving allegations of financial misconduct tied to a former business associate.

Despite those issues, Mayweather continues to maintain a high public profile. He frequently posts images of luxury cars, private jets and large cash holdings across social media platforms.
