Janet Jackson relives an embarrassing moment during one of her performances.
During a sit down with British Vogue, Jackson was looking back at some old performance outfits and one of those outfits sparked an embarrassing moment she experienced in front of Queen Elizabeth.
The singer revealed that an outfit she wore during her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 1990 was inspired by the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. She said that she made some alterations to the outfit by adding some extra silver plates. The outfit was also associated with her album Rhythm Nation 1814. Jackson said that she had a wardrobe malfunction during the performance for the Queen.
“Funny story about this outfit. I was performing for the Queen of England and we were doing ‘Rhythm Nation.’ Sure enough, as soon as I squatted, my pants split right in my booty crack,” she said. “I couldn’t believe it happened. I thought, oh my God. And then I started feeling air bacl there, so I knew it had really happened.”
Janet Jackson also said that she never turn her back to the Queen while doing her choreography, even when she was supposed to.
