Katt Williams and Kevin Hart officially ended their long-standing public feud Sunday night during a surprise appearance by Williams at “The Roast of Kevin Hart” on Netflix.

The reunion marked a significant shift in the relationship between the two comedy titans, whose rivalry has spanned nearly a decade. Despite the reconciliation, Williams maintained his signature sharp edge, delivering a set that heavily targeted Hart’s career and his alleged social associations with embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. “Very humble of me to be at your GOAT roast tonight,” Williams said during his time at the podium.

“Kevin, I’ve won an Emmy Award, but this is going to be my best acting tonight as I pretend like you are a GOAT for the people at home.” The tension between the two performers dates back to 2017 when Williams made disparaging remarks regarding actress Tiffany Haddish, a close friend of Hart. The conflict intensified in early 2024 following a viral interview in which Williams characterized Hart as an “industry plant” and accused him of taking roles that were originally intended for Williams.

During the roast, Hart addressed the years of animosity directly, expressing a desire to move past the competition and build a genuine friendship. Williams appeared to reciprocate the sentiment, though he did not hold back when it came to Hart’s recent headlines.

Williams specifically drew laughter and gasps from the audience when he brought up Hart’s past attendance at parties hosted by Diddy, who has faced significant legal scrutiny in recent months. Williams joked that Hart’s silence on the matter was more telling than the attendance itself. “Just because Kevin went to Diddy parties does not mean he did something wrong,” Williams told the crowd.

“The fact he gets all quiet when you bring it up, that means he did something wrong.” The event, which was streamed globally on Netflix, featured a star-studded dais that praised Williams for his willingness to participate.

Williams concluded his set by jokingly referring to the event as his “Riyadh Comedy Festival,” a nod to the high-profile comedy bookings currently trending in the industry.
