Katt Williams is preparing to tell his story in his own words.

The Emmy-winning comedian and actor has announced his debut memoir, described by publishers as “raw” and “unfiltered.” The book is scheduled for release in October and is already drawing attention across the entertainment industry.

The memoir, titled Nine Lives, No Wives and 69 Concubines, will trace Williams’ path from a turbulent childhood to his rise as one of comedy’s most recognizable voices. It promises a deeply personal look at both his public career and private struggles.

Publishers said the book offers “a raw, unfiltered, wild ride from homelessness to Hollywood.”

Williams, 54, has long been known for his candid style. His stand-up routines often blend sharp social commentary with personal reflection. That same tone is expected to carry into the memoir.

From hardship to Hollywood

According to the book’s synopsis, Williams recounts leaving home at a young age and navigating life on his own. He describes hitchhiking across states and working odd jobs before finding success in comedy.

The memoir also explores his early years growing up in a strict religious household. It follows his eventual breakthrough in stand-up and later success in film and television.

Williams has appeared in projects such as Friday After Next and Norbit. He also built a loyal following through stand-up specials like The Pimp Chronicles.

In addition to career milestones, the book will examine his personal life. That includes his experiences as a father and his evolving spiritual beliefs.

Publishers say the memoir does not avoid difficult topics. It addresses legal troubles and the pressures of navigating fame.

Katt Willaims Remains Unapologetic

Williams has maintained a reputation for speaking openly, both onstage and off. His recent projects continue to reflect that approach.

Earlier this year, he released a comedy special filled with pointed cultural commentary. The memoir appears to extend that same perspective into written form.

The book will include a foreword by former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal.

Industry observers say the memoir could offer new insight into Williams’ career longevity. He has remained relevant for decades while often operating outside mainstream Hollywood systems.

The announcement comes as Williams continues to tour and appear in film projects. His most recent role was in the 2025 comedy One of Them Days.

For fans, the memoir represents a chance to hear directly from a performer known for his unfiltered voice. For Williams, it may be an opportunity to define his legacy on his own terms.

The book is now available for preorder ahead of its October release.
