Veteran actor Ken Page has passed away at 70 years old.

Page, best known for his role as Oogie Boogie, in “Nightmare Before Christmas” passed away in his home in St.Louis. It has been reported that he “sat down in his chair and passed away in his sleep.”

Page’s rep, Lance Kirkland said in a statement, “He was a beautiful, talented man who was larger than life. Ken was loved and adored by so many and will be missed so much.” Ken Page’s passing was confirmed by his friend Dorian Hannaway on Facebook.

She wrote that Page had “passed onto the next show,” and that she was heartbroken. Besides being the voice of Oogie Boogie, Ken Page also had roles in “Family Matters,” “Adventures in Wonderland,” “Dreamgirls,” “All Dogs Go to Heaven,” and more.

He also leaves behind a legacy on Broadway. In 1975, he played the Lion in the stage production of “The Wiz.” He went on to play Nicely-Nicely Johnson in the 1976 revival of “Guys and Dolls” and in 1982’s “Cats.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
