Lastonia Leviston, a cast member on Netflix’s W.A.G.s to Riches, has opened up about the devastating impact of her leaked sex tape. The tape, released by rapper 50 Cent during a feud with her ex-boyfriend Rick Ross, led to a legal battle and years of emotional pain.

Speaking on the reality series, Leviston described feeling like “collateral damage” in the infamous beef between the two rappers. Reflecting on the incident, she said, “In that second, my whole life changed. I became suicidal. I didn’t want to live anymore. I felt like I was damaged goods.”

The explicit video, recorded without her explicit consent by a former boyfriend, Maurice Murray, was sold to 50 Cent and released online in 2009. Leviston described the betrayal: “Long story short, my ex, the guy in the sex tape, he’s bitter. So, he sells the tape to 50 Cent. And then 50 Cent released it… it’s petty, and it still haunts me to this day.”

Leviston’s 2015 civil lawsuit against 50 Cent ended in a $5 million verdict in her favor. However, the toll of the ordeal lingered. “I felt like I had let my kids down tremendously,” she shared, breaking into tears. Despite the legal win, she admitted the emotional scars remain.

The rapper’s legal team maintained that he was disappointed with the verdict, but the judgment led him to file for bankruptcy that same year. Meanwhile, Leviston fought to rebuild her life, noting how the scandal impacted her relationships and self-worth.

“I felt like no man would ever love me again,” she confided to fellow cast member Alexis Welch Stoudemire.

As W.A.G.s to Riches shines a spotlight on women navigating life beyond their relationships with high-profile partners, Leviston hopes her story inspires others. The show, featuring nine powerhouse women, aims to redefine stereotypes. Co-star Sharelle Rosado said, “This show is going to show the women out here killing it… not just drama.”
