Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan spotted hand in hand on a Miami Beach getaway, stirring up reconciliation rumors.
In photos obtained by PEOPLE, the pair were seen holding hands in Miami Beach, Florida as they took a short stroll before finding their seats. Jordan was spotted wearing yellow swim trunks with black and pink designs. He accessorized his look with a pair of black sunglasses, a black hat and a gold watch.
Pippen, on the other hand, kept things simple with a white one-piece bathing suit and matching white shorts. She also pulled her hair into a ponytail and wore a pair of black sunglasses.
Despite the nature of their off and on relationship, a source close to the pair tells PEOPLE that “they’re figuring things out” amid their breakup.
“There’s a lot of love there. That’s hard for either of them to just walk away from,” the insider added.
Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan’s Relationship
Their friendship shifted gears in 2022 as they began to spark speculation about their relationship status. Though Pippen shut down speculation at BravoCon 2022 that October by saying they’re simply “friends,” the twosome appeared to confirm their relationship in January 2023 when they were seen kissing while on a stroll in Miami Beach, Florida.
Breakup rumors first began to swirl when the Bravolebrity unfollowed and removed all photos of her beau from her Instagram in February. She also shared a post on her Instagram Stories that featured a poll asking, her followers, “Should your friends unfollow your ex?” as well as a video of Morgan Freeman speaking about trusting your “inner voice.”
A source then confirmed to PEOPLE on Feb. 12 that Pippen and the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan had split. “They have decided to take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship. This has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth,” a second source says.
Following their sudden breakup — and brief rekindling — after more than a year of dating, the Real Housewives of Miami star shared her thoughts on the split.
“I just wrapped shooting the show and I spent time away from him and everyone else,” Pippen revealed on the Amy & T.J podcast in March. “I was there for two weeks and it just kind of gave me clarity when I was alone and I think when you’re alone, you kind of really either miss the person or realize maybe you’re not my guy, and I feel like that made me realize that I don’t think he’s my guy.”
“I want him to be happy,” she added. “He’s a great guy, but I just don’t feel like it’s for me.”
The couple sparked dating rumors in September of 2022 and went public in January the following year. They first broke up in February ahead of reconciling just in time for Valentine’s Day, before breaking up again in the next month.
Pippen and Jordan spoke of marriage last November when he opened up about his future plans to tie the knot on the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast. Amid his conversation, he shared that he’d like his father and NBA legend, Michael Jordan, to be by his side at the alter.
“We’re still talking about locations and party size and all that stuff so it’s not really concrete yet,” he said at the time, adding that their wedding and engagement is “in the works.”
The two haven’t confirmed if they’re officially back together, but its clear they still have love for one another.
Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan were recently spotted enjoying a day at the beach in Miami amid the pair’s rumored break up. Per TMZ, the two soaked up the sun while getting cozy on lounge chairs and even sharing a coconut drink.
The Recent Breakup
On-and-off over the course of their one-year relationship, the two apparently called it quits for good last month.
“Larsa realized this relationship is just not the one for her after spending some more time apart, filming a new show,” a source told ET. “She wants to move on and focus on improving her life. They simply want different things out of life. Larsa wants more out of her partner, someone who is motivated like her.”
Jordan also posted a questionable Instagram Story upon their breakup claiming that Pippen was “rewriting history for clout,” because she spoke publicly about their split.
“Rewriting history for clout is not cute. Funny how ppl change, just to be part of a conversation that’s irrelevant,” he wrote. “Why give shorty a heart when she rather have press Aaaaahhh thats that nerve lol”
Jordan’s remarks followed Pippen’s appearance on the Amy and T.J. Podcast, where she discussed Real Housewives of Miami, her 16-year-gap relationship with Jordan, and also them taking space from one another.
“I just wrapped up shooting the show, and I spent time away from him and everyone else. I was there for like two weeks and it just kind of gave me clarity when I was alone,” Larsa said. “And I think when you’re alone, you kind of really either miss the person or realize maybe you’re not my guy. And I feel like that made me realize that I don’t think he’s my guy.”
She added, “I just think we’re on a different journey, you know? And I feel like I have to be true to who I am, what I’m doing, and what he’s doing. I want him to be happy. He’s a great guy. But I just don’t feel like it’s for me.”
Despite being back in the dating pool, the mother of four claimed her singleness at the time and admitted that she’s not quite yet ready to mingle. But clearly, Jordan may have changed her mind.
