Piers Morgan and Don Lemon clashed on air Thursday in a fiery interview that erupted into name-calling. During the show Piers Morgan Uncensored, Morgan called Lemon a “complete d**k.” The fight began when Morgan pressed Lemon about his departure from CNN in 2023.

From Discussion to Confrontation

The interview had begun on civil footing, centering on free speech in America after the recent killing of commentator Charlie Kirk. But tensions rose when Morgan asked Lemon whether he felt he was a victim of cancel culture. Lemon replied, “Probably yes. I’m sure that I was a victim of cancel culture.”

Morgan then played a clip of Lemon making controversial comments in early 2023 about former GOP candidate Nikki Haley, saying she was “not in her prime.” Lemon immediately objected, saying he was “ambushed” by the question. He said he believed the interview would focus only on free speech and Charlie Kirk, not his CNN firing or past remarks.

As the discussion escalated, both men raised their voices. Morgan said, “What are you talking about?! I think you’re being a complete d**k, if I’m honest with you.” Lemon responded with sarcasm: “Okay, well that’s very kind and respectful of you.”

Lemon further claimed the clip “had nothing to do with me leaving CNN,” accusing Morgan of taking his remarks out of context. Morgan insisted the moment was relevant because Lemon himself brought up cancel culture.

After the recording ended but before its release, Morgan posted about the interview on social media. He said he still did not understand “what the hell happened” with Lemon’s behavior. Lemon replied that he had expected a productive discussion and not a setup for “clickbait moments.”
