A man who was accused of breaking into a vehicle and stealing Beyoncé’s unreleased music team has been apprehended by law enforcement.

According to a press statement Atlanta Police Deparment, Kelvin Evans was taken into custody in August for his alleged connection to the crime.

“This remains an active investigation. At this time, no camera footage will be released. If and when additional details become available, they will be posted on this website,” the statement read.

CNN reports that Evans was booked on Aug. 26, 2025. He is faceing one charge of entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony. He’s also in violation of his parole.

Currently, he is being held on a $20,000 bond.

At the time, the stolen items have not been recovered.

As WBLS previously reported, Beyoncé’s choreographer Christopher Grant along with dancer Diandre Blue parked their rental Jeep Wagoneer at Krog Street Market. Around 8 p.m., they discovered the vehicle’s rear gate was forcibly opened. Inside lay two suitcases now missing.

In the luggage were watermarked and unreleased music tracks, footage plans, and setlists. Grant reportedly told police the items contained “personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé.”

“They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there,” a unidentified caller is heard on a 911 call obtained by CNN. “I work with someone who’s like, of a high status, and I really need the, um, my computer and everything.”

The police report stated: “The hard drives contained water marked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show and past and future set list.”
Court records did not reveal records if Evans has legal representation or not.

Beyoncé played four “Cowboy Carter” shows between July 10 and 14 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of football’s Atlanta Falcons.
