TV’s favorite family is coming back to your television screens.
It has been reported that the cast of Family Matters will star in a Christmas special called “A Family Matters Christmas.” LaVern Whitt will direct the special, focusing on the feud between the three siblings who are visited by the “forgotten Christmas spirit,” Alternis.
The spirit will cause each sibling to live as the other as they swap bodies and try to beat the clock to get back into their own bodies before the time is out, something like “Freaky Friday.”
Kellie Shanygne Williams, who played Laura Winslow on the show spoke about working with her tv mother JoMarie Payton again. “Working with JoMarie again is such a pleasure, and I could not wait to rekindle the spark and warmth that millions have to come to love.”
The script for this special was written by Williams’ real-life mother, Peggy Williams. “When I was writing the story, I realized that the story mirrored my life, and through those life experiences, I’ve learned love, understanding, and forgiveness always win,” Peggy said.
“A Family Matters Christmas” will air on all streaming platforms on Nov 8th. You can watch the trailer below.
