Jamie Foxx has been making major headlines lately. After his daughter, Corinne, revealed he was hospitalized for an undisclosed health issue, everyone wanted to know more. He was originally filming a movie with Cameron Diaz and it halted due to his sickness. Now, amid reports of the actor being in and out of the hospital, a new game show has been announced that will have him as a host.

The news comes days after Corinne confirmed that he was out of the hospital.  In a statement released this week, the Foxx duo said, “We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment. We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”

The show will feature celebrities and their non-famous family members. The two will duet but the celebrity will be hidden. 100 contestants will compete to guess who the hidden celebrity is. The winner is to receive $100,000.

This wouldn’t be the duo’s first time hosting a show. The Foxxes previously hosted the music game show Beat Shazam for the last five seasons. Due to Jamie’s health problems, the two are currently replaced by Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne.

We Are Family is slated to premiere sometime in 2024.

Jamie Foxx’s Health

There have been many opposing reports about the actor’s whereabouts. On May 12th, after several media outlets reported that the actor’s family was “preparing for the worst,” Corinne took to Instagram to clear the air.

“Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she wrote in a post. “My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!”

The latest update on Foxx’s health is that he is in physical rehabilitation in Chicago. Corinne, was spotted visiting him at the renowned Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, which specializes in various types of rehabilitation including stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab, and cancer rehabilitation.
