John Legend is very outspoken when it comes to American politics, and using his voice to ask senators to vote “No” to Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court Justice confirmation with a new one-minute ad.

According to The Hill, “The ad is by the NACCP Legal Defense Fund, and being promoted by a slew of progressive organizations, including Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and Color of Change.”

The newly-named EGOT talent starts the video saying, “Who becomes the next Supreme Court Justice is the decision of a lifetime. Your lifetime.”

“Brett Kavanaugh is troubling views on the issues that matter most and his rushed confirmation process make him unfit for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court,” Legend continues.

The video then cuts to various pleas from children and adults who know the impact Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court could have on their everyday lives like how safe they will be, their right to vote, where they can learn and how they’ll be treated, if their families will can stay together, and other social issues plaguing the country.

Legend wraps the video calling on all people to call their senators and “Tell them to vote ‘No’ on Kavanugh.” He follows up to say, “Remember, they answer to you.”

The midterm elections are two months away. Make sure you get out and vote.
