An update to a previous report has taken a positive turn.
Singer Macy Gray’s comments on Piers Morgan Uncensored went viral over the holiday weekend. When asked by Morgan how she would define womanhood, she replied, “just because you change your parts, doesn’t make you a woman, sorry.”

In the immediate hours that followed that interview post, Gray was seemingly persecuted for her comments on social media. However, may fans and industry peers have come out in support of her including Flame Monroe, a comedian who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Grammy nominated singer mentioned that she has nothing but love for the LGBTQ+ community. However she still believes that “‘woman’ is a title that you earn and become”.
