Actress Meagan Good expressed her readiness to begin the next chapter of her life with husband Jonathan Majors. At 43, Good said she is “definitely” ready for children, crediting both timing and her partner’s role as a positive influence. She shared this insight at Lifetime’s Summer Soirée on July 16, confirming that motherhood is a step she’s eager to embrace.

“I definitely am ready to have kids now,” Good told Us Weekly during the event.

She went on to add that the decision isn’t just about timing—it’s also about who she’s choosing to embark on this journey with.

“When your partner is someone you’re genuinely excited to share this with, who’s already showing he’s a phenomenal father, it just feels right,” Good explained.

“Super Ready” After Onscreen Role

Good credits her recent role in the series Harlem, where her character experiences pregnancy, for solidifying her own maternal desires. Onscreen motherhood sparked real-life emotions.

“It definitely made me excited to go, ‘OK … now I get to go, ‘Yeah, I think this actually makes me super ready,’” she shared.

This artistic exploration confirmed that the role was more than just performance—it emotionally prepared her for what lies ahead.

Planning on Two Kids and Four Dogs

Meagan and Jonathan—married in a private backyard ceremony on March 18—are already parent to four energetic Belgian Malinois dogs and Majors’s 12‑year‑old daughter from a prior relationship.

When asked how many children she hopes to have with Majors, Good said:

“Two would be good. We got four dogs already … but the house is very safe.”

Responding to Rumors and Pregnancy Speculation

Speculation about Good’s pregnancy surfaced when Majors joked during an Instagram Live that he could not tell whether she was expecting. His brief comment prompted a surprised silence from Good, and viewers quickly reacted to her body language.

“She looked uncomfortable after he said that,” noted one viewer.

The playful moment ended the live session swiftly, but it did nothing to dim the couple’s joyful anticipation of expanding their family.

A Journey Through Challenges and Growth

Good and Majors have endured public trials over the past year. Majors was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment in December 2023. He completed a 52‑week domestic violence intervention program and faced career setbacks, including losing Marvel roles and other endorsements. Despite these setbacks, Good remained supportive—even losing endorsements herself for standing by him.

Now married and strong in faith, the couple is looking forward with hopes for parenthood and professional pursuits.
