Jeezy is responding back to his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai’s, claims of abuse.
The rapper went on his social media to address the claims. “The allegations are not only false, but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved. This malicious attempt to tarnish my character and disrupt my family is ridiculous,” he wrote.
“It’s disheartening to witness the manipulation and deceit at play and at this time my main concern is being an active father to our daughter as I continue to fight for court mandated joint custody.”
We recently reported that Mai had shown four different incidents where Jeezy displayed an aggressive side to him which included “explosive outbursts, excessive drinking and domestic violence.”
She also says that the first incident dates back to January 2022. Mai states that Jeezy began to speak down towards her. “He hurled insults such as ‘You w—!’ and ‘I can’t wait to divorce you when we get back,’” as cited in the court documents. During that incident, Mai said she was held “against her will” and Jeezy struck her “a closed fist across her cheekbone and eye, causing a subconjunctival hemorrhage.”
Mai’s lawsuit also recounts other incidents where she was choked and verbally abused by him as well. She also said that the last incident happened when he was “overly intoxicated.”
In September 2023, Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai.
