For his comeback film Magazine Dreams, Jonathan Majors has garnered praise for his performance.

On Monday (March 17), Majors along with his fiancée Meagan Good attended the special screening of the film at The London Hotel in Los Angeles with director-writer Elijah Bynum.

Also at the screening event was David Oyelowo, Briarcliff Entertainment CEO/Founder Tom Ortenberg, Jesse Metcalfe, Michael Jai White, his wife Gillian, and co-star Mike O’Hearn.

O’Hearn said, “Fun night with my friend Jonathan Majors and the lead of ‘Magazine Dreams’ which I believe will be nominated for Best Movie and Jonathan with a best leading man of 2025. So proud to be part of this movie. It’ll be a movie that would live on for decades.”

In an interview with Variety, Ortenberg lauded Majors and Bynum’s work.

“Elijah’s film made a well-deserved splash… Jonathan Majors’ transcendent performance as Killian Maddox will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most compelling and transformative roles in recent cinema history,” Ortenberg. “We are honored to bring this extraordinary work to theaters nationwide, inviting audiences to witness a story that will resonate long after the credits roll.”

While his performance in the film may be great, Majors found himself embroiled in another domestic abuse controversy. WBLS previously reported that Majors allegedly admitted to choking ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. In the audio recording, Majors seems to contradict his previous statements that he never physically harmed Jabbari or any other women he was involved with.

During the exchange, Jabbari accuses Majors of pushing and strangling her. Majors responds, “I’m ashamed I’ve ever – I’ve never [been] aggressive with a woman before. I’ve never aggressed a woman – I aggressed you.”

“You strangled me and pushed me against the car,” Jabbari replied. Majors said: “Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed’, yeah. That’s never happened to me.”

In December 2023, Majors was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment following an argument earlier that year. The former couple was in the back seat of a car before the dispute spilled on a public street in Manhattan.

He was sentenced to undergo a counseling program for a year abdJabbari dropped an assault and defamation lawsuit against him according to the terms of the settlement.

Majors has vehemently denied all charges and accusations levied at him.
