Kandi Burruss is speaking out after her ex-husband, Todd Tucker, publicly discussed their sex life in his upcoming film.
Tucker revealed that he and Burruss had multiple threesomes during their 11-year marriage. The revelation appears in the trailer for his new project, “‘Til Divorce Do Us Part.”
Burruss is now criticizing her former husband for bringing those private details into the public conversation.
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star told PEOPLE that Tucker’s decision to discuss their intimate experiences crossed a personal boundary.
“What consensually happens between a husband and wife in the privacy of their marriage is exactly that-private,” Burruss said.
She also accused Tucker of using their former relationship to generate attention for his project.
“A man who has already hurt me to my core is furthering the damage by choosing to sensationalize our sex life to stretch his five minutes of fame,” she said.
Burruss concluded her statement with a pointed message about the couple’s divorce.
“His current behavior has only confirmed that I did the right thing by getting divorced. I Do, I Did, I’m Done!”
Todd Tucker Discusses Their Marriage In New Film
Tucker’s comments appear in the trailer for “‘Til Divorce Do Us Part,” an upcoming film centered on life after marriage.
The project features Tucker alongside other former husbands connected to the “Real Housewives” franchise.
In the trailer, Tucker was asked whether he and Burruss had threesomes during their marriage.
“We did. I would say for most of our marriage we did,” Tucker said.
The revelation quickly drew attention because Burruss had previously discussed the couple’s openness within their marriage.
In 2023, Burruss acknowledged that she and Tucker had experienced threesomes. She described them as relatively infrequent at the time.
However, Burruss now appears to object to those experiences being revisited publicly after their relationship ended.
Her response also comes months after the couple officially finalized their divorce.
Kandi Burruss And Todd Tucker’s Divorce
Burruss and Tucker first met while filming “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in 2011.
The couple became engaged in 2013 and married in April 2014. Their wedding was later documented on Bravo’s “Kandi’s Wedding.”
Together, they share two children, son Ace and daughter Blaze. Burruss also has an adult daughter, Riley, while Tucker has a daughter, Kaela, from previous relationships.
Burruss announced their plans to divorce in November 2025.
At the time, she said her priority was protecting her peace while continuing to co-parent with Tucker.
“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce,” Burruss said in a statement to PEOPLE.
“This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” she continued.
The former couple reached a divorce settlement in March 2026 after 11 years of marriage. Their settlement addressed financial and property matters, including a dispute involving their Atlanta Hawks floor seats.
Despite their split, Burruss and Tucker have continued to navigate co-parenting.
The former couple even reunited with their children for a family vacation in Bermuda earlier this year. Burruss has also spoken about adjusting to life after marriage.
Now, Tucker’s upcoming film has placed their former relationship back in the spotlight.
For Burruss, however, the issue appears to be less about what happened during their marriage and more about what should remain private after it ended.
Her latest comments make clear that she does not want intimate details from their relationship becoming part of the publicity surrounding their divorce.
As “‘Til Divorce Do Us Part” prepares for its release, Tucker’s account of their marriage has added another layer to the former couple’s very public split. Burruss, meanwhile, is making her position clear: Some parts of their marriage should stay between the two people who lived them.
