Today (March 8th), Mary J Blige, Pepsi and Live Nation announced the return of the second annual “Strength of a Woman” Festival and Summit. The event will hit Atlanta’s State Farm Arena from May 11-14.
The festival’s scheduling includes a star-studded concert, a Hip-Hop 50 celebration, a comedy show segment and podcast summit.
The concert features both seasoned acts and newcomers. Lauryn Hill, Summer Walker, Robert Glasper, Muni Long, Jadakiss and Method Man are among those scheduled to perform.
The festival was founded by Blige last year with the goal of uplifting and strengthening woman.
She shared on her Instagram, “I’m kicking off International Women’s Day with the 2nd annual @strengthofawomanfest + Summit in partnership with @pepsi
I’m curating a never before seen MJB-Sides set celebrating #HipHop50 – all hip hop all night!”
She added, “@strengthofawomanfest + summit includes a 4 day experience with music, panels, comedy, a gospel brunch, a ball, parties and sooooo many surprises. Last year was great, this year will be EPIC! “
