Savannah Guthrie is renewing her plea for information about her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie.
The “Today” co-host spoke about the ongoing search Tuesday after actress Allison Janney offered support during the 2026 Emmy Awards.
Janney, who won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for “The Diplomat,” spoke about Guthrie’s family backstage Monday.
The actress said she thinks about Savannah and her family “every day.”
“I think all of America is thinking about her,” Janney added.
Guthrie responded to Janney’s remarks during Tuesday’s episode of “Today.”
She said she was deeply touched that Janney acknowledged her family during such an important moment.
“It was her moment of her triumph, and for her to sit and just take a moment and think about our family,” Guthrie said.
The journalist said she continues looking for opportunities to speak about her mother.
“I never let a moment pass, if I get one, to talk about my mom and how much we miss her and love her,” she said.
Guthrie Continues Public Plea for Her Mother
Nancy Guthrie, 84, disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona, home on Feb. 1.
Authorities believe she was abducted from the residence. The investigation has continued for more than seven months.
No suspect has been publicly identified in connection with Nancy’s disappearance.
Guthrie has remained vocal about the search since stepping away from “Today” earlier this year.
She returned to the morning show in April after taking about two months away from the anchor desk.
Her return did not mark an end to the family’s search for Nancy.
Guthrie has continued using her public platform to encourage people with information to contact authorities.
The family has also made several emotional appeals for information about Nancy’s whereabouts.
During Tuesday’s broadcast, Guthrie emphasized the pain her family continues to experience.
She said her siblings and other relatives remain deeply affected by Nancy’s disappearance.
“My whole family, my sister Annie, my brother Camron, we’re in such pain,” Guthrie said.
She then thanked Janney for helping bring renewed attention to the case.
“We just need help, so thank you, Allison Janney, for remembering us and for giving an opportunity for me to renew that call,” Guthrie said.
She ended her appeal with a simple message about what her family wants.
“We just want our mom home [to] give her a proper goodbye.”
A Family Still Searching for Answers
Guthrie’s comments come as her family continues facing uncertainty about what happened to Nancy.
The journalist has previously described the situation as devastating for her family.
She has also made clear that knowing what happened remains important, regardless of how difficult the answer may be.
