Wendy Williams has made it clear that she is not filming a new reality TV series although her fans thoughts differently.
According to her rep, Shawn Zanotti said in a recent statement, “It is definitely not a reality show.” Zanotti continued, “After taking a long break, Wendy feels some of the best days of her life were in media. She has been in media since her early 20s and wants to return to what she loves… Yes, Wendy is filming… Yes, she is gearing up for something and the specifics of that can’t be disclosed as of yet.”
In February, it was reported that the former TV talk show host had brought a 30-person production crew to New York City to film in a New York restaurant. She was spotted by a fan, who described the scene.
“Basically it was a regular night and then all of a sudden the Wendy Williams train arrived… She had a huge crew that basically turned Fresco by Scotto into a movie set.”
Wendy’s fans have been waiting for her to make a return to TV. After 12 seasons, her show, The Wendy Williams Show came to end after her health became a major concern. Her time slot would ultimately go to Sherri Shepherd, who was a guest host on Williams’ show numerous times.
Williams was also seen filming in her hometown of Ashbury, New Jersey. While filming this new project, it has been confirmed that she is currently working on her podcast, The Wendy Experience.
