The moment unfolded in the latest installment of For Your Glory, a documentary series released by Sanders’ son, Deion Sanders Jr. The series chronicles the football legend’s battle with bladder cancer and his recovery.
During one hospital scene, Tran recalled a surprising question Sanders asked his medical team while discussing the life-changing surgery.
“But he was asking something about you can still have kids,” Tran said. “Remember the doctor was talking to you about the changes.”
She continued, “The doctor… the first thing I asked was, ‘Can we still have kids?’” Sanders confirmed, prompting laughter and disbelief from family members gathered in the room.
