Reality television star Kandi Burruss and producer Todd Tucker have reached a settlement in their high-profile divorce, bringing an end to months of legal disputes and public speculation surrounding the couple’s separation.
Court filings show the former couple finalized an agreement this week after several contentious exchanges involving custody, finances and living arrangements. The settlement follows Burruss’ November 2025 divorce filing after more than a decade of marriage.
Burruss, a singer, entrepreneur and longtime cast member of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” married Tucker in April 2014 after meeting during the show’s fourth season in 2011. Their relationship unfolded publicly through reality television appearances and joint business ventures.
The pair share two children, son Ace and daughter Blaze. Both have children from previous relationships, forming a blended family often featured in their media projects.
Despite the settlement, the divorce process had grown increasingly tense in recent months.
Custody and legal tensions
Early court filings revealed disagreements over custody and the couple’s prenuptial agreement. Tucker previously sought sole custody of the children, citing Burruss’ demanding work schedule and frequent travel.
Burruss initially requested joint custody, but later adjusted her legal strategy as the dispute intensified.
Legal documents also detailed disagreements about financial responsibilities and household arrangements during the separation. Public filings and statements suggested both sides accused the other of failing to meet certain parental or financial obligations during the split.
Even with the tension, Burruss repeatedly emphasized the importance of protecting their children from the conflict.
“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce,” Burruss previously said in a statement. “This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”
The divorce proceedings stretched across several months as attorneys negotiated custody terms and financial arrangements.
A relationship that played out publicly
Burruss, 49, built a multifaceted career as a Grammy-winning songwriter, restaurateur and television personality. Tucker, 52, worked as a television producer and frequently collaborated with Burruss on business and entertainment ventures.
During their marriage, the couple appeared together in several Bravo projects, including spinoffs focused on their wedding and family life. Their partnership also extended into hospitality and entertainment businesses.
But in interviews earlier this year, Burruss acknowledged the relationship had been under strain for some time.
“It happened in July,” she said in a television interview, describing the moment she realized the marriage had reached its breaking point. “In July was when I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, no. I can’t do this no more.’”
Still, both Burruss and Tucker signaled their commitment to co-parenting despite the legal battle.
Friends close to the couple say the settlement allows both sides to move forward privately after months of public scrutiny. The agreement is expected to formalize custody arrangements and outline financial terms related to the divorce.
For Burruss, the conclusion of the case marks the end of a long and emotional chapter.
As she told fans while addressing the separation, the focus now remains on family, personal growth and the next phase of her career.
